From the depths of the lips

Reading about Haiti. Moot point:

True service lies at helping those we don't know, whom we have never met, and who will never thank us. All else is lip service, or far worse, propaganda.

  1. When love and bliss swells in the heart and overflows from the body it finds expression or manifests itself as service

When love is overflowing, service, like lightning, follows the path of least resistance. The first living being it interacts with, it strikes it with lethal force.

Imagine a day waking up in the morning with overflowing love " APPA AMMA" I LOVE YOU. Getting out of the house- We meet the building watchman say- Good Morning SIR, I love you, you are going a great job, Have a Wonderful day, You go to the office, find a parking space- and instead of taking it yourself you offer it to the person who has come in a car behind you....I love you Brother, Have a great day

Imagine what it does to others.

    Love expands consciousness.

    Service expands consciousness.

When the consciousness expands to stretch the entirety of the university, the great masters tell us, the experience is neither silence nor speech it is an aha feeling -I AM THAT I AM- SOHAM, SOHAM

At a more esoteric level, if we cannot manage dramatic performances of such overflowing acts of love, we can always take an abra or a small boat, stand at its tip and do a full extended stretch of our hands ala-Caprio/Winslet in Titanic and say SOHAM SOHAM...

For humble mortals the trick is to fake it till we make it! I have done it and it works albeit for a few minutes!!!
