It struck me that everybody was there trying to immortalize the cake in front of them while the raison detre of the cake itself was relegated to the background. Such seems to be the myopic vision of our life. We yearn for the illusory sweetness of the transient, while the permanent source of all sweetnes is rarely focused on.
This is a personal diary, and in no way reflects any opinion or view of the Spiritual Organization that I am part of. I have always lived my heart on my sleeve; so, I guess you read what I think and live. Regarding my spiritual affiliation: If you ask me whether I am a Sai devotee, my answer is No. I am not a Sai devotee if it goes to mean that I follow the teachings of Sai. But I am a Sai devotee if you refer to my Absolute Devotion to the form that embodies Absolute Reality.

Sweet-sighted
We celebrated a colleague's birthdate anniversary yesterday, with the cutting of the customary cake. All office-members ganged round the conference table and started clicking pictures of the cake sitting in the middle of the table in all its indifference.
