Reading Between the Lines - 17 - Miss (the Point) USA

Kansas City, 18-05-2010: Arab-American from Michigan crowned 2010 Miss USA

P's C: America makes diplomatic headway into the Arab world by crowning Arab-America as Miss USA. This is significant, since this well-clad parade is exactly what the Arab world wants strong representation for from America. Talking about the contest itself, it is very noteworthy to remember that before the winner bursts into tears, she always confesses that she wants to 'be an ambassador for world peace'.

That's before she steps into movies or magazines.

  1. Only goes to show that Americans are, in some measure, cosmopolitan and meritocratic. This inclusive feeling promoting diversity is expected in spiritual organisational realm-to see it in the material world in nations is remakable. The EU Commission in one of its report had said that Companies that implement workforce diversity policies identify
important benefits that strengthen long-term competitiveness and, in
certain instances, also produce short and medium-term improvements
    in performance

  3. I have never known a better catalyst for publicity than a good helping of scandal.

But then, haven't you noticed that not ONE page of the daily Gulf News broadsheet is free of everything negative?

The Golden age is sure to come, but the way things are going, it will take a long time coming.
